HVAC training

Back by Popular Demand

This year Taco FloPro Factory Training will focus on our most popular course: "The 'Compleat' Boiler Room." This is the course more contractors attend each year and the one more contractors miss out on because of limited classroom capacity. In 2012, FloPro Team members will have four opportunities to attend, "The 'Compleat' Boiler Room," at our training facility at Taco headquarters in Cranston, RI. Additional classes will also be held at various locations around the U.S.
The 'Compleat' Boiler Room (CBR)
Webster defines 'compleat' as "being an outstanding example of a kind, quintessential." Taco's The 'Compleat' Boiler Room will show you how to make your boiler rooms outstanding in every way. We'll discuss sizing and near-boiler piping for both cast iron and modulating-condensing boilers. We'll also discuss the proper sizing and application of circulators and zone valves, and discuss zoning strategies with a heavy dose of hydronic electronics thrown in for good measure. The 'Compleat' Boiler Room is an advanced training program covering the latest in controls and products, with extended hands-on opportunities. This two-day program is designed for and will benefit any experienced hydronics installer or designer.

Hydronic Control Strategies
The boiler may be the brawn of a hydronic system, but the control strategies you use are most definitely the "brains." Today's high efficiency boilers come with their own on-board reset controls, but there are many ways to fine tune these systems for even greater performance and efficiency. Taco's new factory training program, "Hydronic Control Strategies," shows you simple strategies that can make a good system great, and a great system utterly amazing!

This two-day program covers a wide variety of hydronic controls that includes adding reset controls to existing, cast iron boilers and adding motorized reset valves to modulating-condensing boilers. You'll learn all about the various ways to mix water temperatures for radiant systems, as well as advanced zoning and variable speed pumping techniques that can simplify any heating application.

Hydronic Control Strategies is an advanced training program, with extended hands-on opportunities. The program is designed for and will benefit any experienced hydronics contractor/installer. Taco's "The 'Compleat' Boiler Room," or comparable program, is a recommended prerequisite.
